      The “article” doesn’t really get into many details, other than sort of repeating that he’s “ordered” the removal.

      Ultimately we don’t know what’s behind the decision. If it’s anything like at my organization, they probably noted that the tampons in men’s bath rooms weren’t being used.

      I know that there are trans men, who may still menstruate and who would not feel comfortable going into a woman’s washroom to grab a tampon, but ultimately it seems like it’s mostly not an issue, at least not on a scale needed to justify the cost.

      I think we can support trans men and their needs while also recognizing that stocking tampons in every single men’s bathrooms is overkill.

      A lot companies I have worked for only had like a few “wash your hands” signs along with a bunch of passive aggressive signs about leaving messes, flushing, and spending too long in there.

      It seems silly to remove the dispenser if it’s already there. It’s not like it would need restocking very often.

      Odd decision. If it’s true, and it was directed by management it’s definitely an overt message. That with the stuff about gay community being labelled mentally ill feels like a very strong tilt to the right wing. With Trump coming in, I wonder, well actually I suspect there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes that has Meta thinking that they need to kowtow like this.

      Punishing the political scapegoat. Sure hope this doesn’t trigger a cancel culture mass exodus of customers from Facebook, not because of trans-rights issues but because the public is sick of corporations sucking up to politicians to achieve their greedy goals.

      I’m going to get downvoted so much, but the vast majority of people will agree with me. But there is a vocal minority that just spend their entire life being offended and a victim.

      If they needed tampons bring their own. It’s a complete non issue

      Maybe it was more of a simpler reason, what if guys hey what if no one was actually using them so they just removed it as an archaic thing just like those condom dispensaries they used to have everywhere in men’s restrooms that never was used.

      The question is why there are separate bathrooms at all? My workplace has unisex bathrooms, each of them inside has all you need. Worth to mention I’m in Europe and maybe there are cultural differences.

      It’s funny that some people find this controversial, but on the other hand, they don’t find it controversial that trans people with vaginas use the men’s bathroom, as if that’s acceptable to everyone.
