      Though I don’t use those platforms too much (never threads) I think they’re right on moderation and Reddit is wrong.

      The long term solution is people need a new option for social media… to keep in touch with people and communities. I don’t know what the solution is but hope someone can figure it out.

      Kind of sucks I’m an Oculus VR owner. I’ll have to ditch the Quest 3 headset and future headsets they produce.

      It’s too bad WhatsApp is main communication tool for my external family. Otherwise Facebook and instagram was deleted before pandemic (right after Cambridge Analytics fiasco).

      I hate that many are having their voices driven out of these spaces, and then these asshat CEOs say what’s left is the real voice of the people. There’s other places to go but I don’t know that they can’t be bought or taken over as well. Liberal newspapers are turning on their readers. The voices of the left wing (and even center-right) are being silenced so quickly.

      We are almost at the point that posting “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” in the US will get you banned for being pro-LGBTQ. It’s incredible how hard the right is trying to shape the messaging on these platforms.

      People are too addicted and feel like they “need” these platforms. I’m really hoping this (and the TikTok ban) is truly the beginning of a sharp decline in social media use so people can get some of their humanity back.
