You can view this temperature blanket as a yearly calendar with one square per day from the top left (Jan 1st) to the bottom right (Dec 31) with additional white squares at the end of each month (12 in total) that I added to get a more square-like shape of the blanket. They are also quite helpful if you want to find a particular date in the blanket.
Each square contains three sections:
– Inner section: highest temperature of the day
– Middle section: average temperature of the day
– Outer section: lowest temperature of the day
The temperatures are encoded in nine colors going from dark red (hottest temperature) over orange and yellow tones to beige (mild temperatures) and then to green and blue ones (coldest temperature) with a step of 5 degrees Centigrade.
Additionally, the border contains three colors denoting the average highest, average average and average lowest temparatures over the entire year.
The second picture contains a computer-generated version of the blanket.
The source of data is ARSO (Slovenian Environment Agency): https://meteo.arso.gov.si/met/en/app/webmet/.
