Hallo!

If you have a while and want to experience some nature and a taste of the ‘old’ Malta, I’d recommend catching the ferry or Bus to Valletta, and coming to MÄ¡arr (Route No 44 or 238). Apart from the fact that it’s still a relatively traditional town with a large number of farmers, there a lot of restaurants and cafeterias serving a wide range of food, especially Maltese. My top picks would be:

    Il-Barri Restaurant ( https://il-barri.com.mt/ ) and Ta’ L-Ingliż Restaurant ( https://www.facebook.com/TalInglizRestaurant/ ) – Family-Run restaurants which are quite well known especially for Fenek (rabbit).

Ta’ Nenu The Artisan Baker ( [https://nenuthebaker.com/](https://nenuthebaker.com/) ) – A restaurant in Valletta and MÄ¡arr, which is very traditional and serves exclusively traditional food.

If coming to MÄ¡arr, whilst here you might like to visit Skorba and Ta’ ĦaÄ¡rat, both Prehistoric Sites.

  2. What are you eating in the photo? A mozzarella with some vegetables and a tartare of something?

  3. I recommend getting a cab from Bolt/Uber/eCabs and visit the National aquarium. You can also have a decent meal in the La Nave restaurant that is interconnected with it. All is family friendly.

Vittoriosa area is great to get a view of the harbour and just walk around (Petut Restaurant has good local cuisine). Naxxar is also great for kids, plenty of restaurants to choose from.
