    I thought we’d had enough of foreign, unelected beaurocrats interfering in British politics?

  2. AerodynamicHandshake on

    Fortunately, there are no young people in Clacton, and we all know that’s Nige’s number one priority.

    I cannot believe that the timeline we’ve ended up in is one where a South African real-life Bond-villain is single-handedly trying to destabilise Western democracy.

  4. Aflyingmongoose on

    Genuine question, does anyone know if there have been any (very recent) studies into who (by demographic, age, race, gender etc..) even likes Musk?

    I feel like there is an unfounded assumption that he is still popular with young people.

    Guess you could say… trying to make it an en-Tice-ing proposition.

    Elon is going to be so confused when he realises that winning over voters with cult mentality is significantly less effective over here than it is in the US, and people generally do not like Farage here to begin with.

    It’s high time the UK placed some sanctions on Musk. Even outright ban him from conducting business here if he doesn’t comply. Especially now that he’s going to be working directly with the US Government in his weird meme department. He’s quite simply a threat to democracy, and it’s better that the UK lose his business altogether, than entertain his BS.

    > The Tesla tycoon is “an absolute hero figure” for the younger generation and would be a “huge help” in connecting them with the party, the Reform UK leader added.

    What a fucking depressing thought. I can only imagine it is a subset of the younger generation that would probably vote for reform anyway.

    How is this even legal? He’s basically openly bragging about allowing foreign interference in political matters.

  9. Thelostrelic on

    I’m pretty sure young Brits really do not like Musk…

    Or Farage…

    The thought of either of them trying to get down with the young ones is disturbing, to be honest.

    I have more faith in the younger generations. They have information at their fingertips and can work out for themselves why these two are bad news.

    He’s such a stereotypical rich, evil, scheming and maniacal movie villain. Seriously, when is Bond, Superman, Rocky or Austin Powers turning up? This movie isn’t ending the way Hollywood made me believe it should.

    What are there other policies though? So far stopping mass immigration is the only one the public is remotely aware of. That may be good enough for some but most people aren’t one issue voters.

    As a young person I can say, the more extreme right everything become the more left wing I become 😂 also not sure if “alpha male” people wanna vote for Farage.. he doesn’t really give alpha male vibes.

  13. Northman061 on

    Policies, Vision and a Passion to serve is the only way to drive voters.

  14. GayPlantDog on

    it’ll work. there are many hopeless and angry young people who cant relate to conservatives and are ignored by labour who think they can condescend them into voting for them, or they wont vote. It will be the young who win it for the far right. If not next election then within ten years. the worse labour government in history drunk on their own superiority, nothing will get better. it’s inevitable at this point.

    Reform supporters suddenly very ok with outside influence on the UK. Absolute clowns I swear.

  16. Has a fine in here ever picked their acne spots and noticed how they get 10 times worse?

    The news giving Farage and Musk air time is exactly the same scenario. A tiny spot, with a tiny number of MPs being picked at.

    ” What flavour milkshake does Elon like? ”

    40 minutes up and the post has over 70 comments already. This is going to be a crazy few years, very similar to posts on Corbyn.

    Why are we so cool with foreign nationals involving themselves directly with our political system.

    There should be a blanket ban on any overseas donations or any entity with foreign ownership making political donations.
    We’ll stick with local corruption thanks.
    Edit: can’t spell

    Nigel isn’t charismatic enough to sway young voters, doesn’t matter how much cash you spaff up the wall

    I say let Elon waste his money

  22. SuccessfulWar3830 on

    Nigel “WE CANT LET EUROPE DICTATE WHAT WE DO WITH OUR COUTRY!”

    Also Nigel “how much money elon?”

  23. Musk needs to keep an eye on what his first lady Donald Trump is up to.

  24. VelvetDreamers on

    What specious nonsense the article is asserting. Musk is a hero to no one but depraved vulgarians living vicariously through a billionaire who perceives them as useful idiots.

    Billionaires as a class are unconscionable but billionaires conniving with Nigel Farage are tantamount—to borrow religious imagery—a deal with an avaricious demon.

    Labour really needs to appeal to the disillusioned and perceived to be disenfranchised working class male voters. A concerted effort to untangle the lies and misinformation is another aspect Labour needs to begin.

    Let’s go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over.

  26. NathanDavie on

    Surely young Brits are smarter than young Americans. Everyone thinks Musk is a cunt, right?

  27. SammyMacUK on

    Oh yeah I work with young people and these are the things they consider *scallywag riz poz* (cool)

    * pogs
    * pigs (Peppa, Georgie, Snowball, Babe, Wilbur)
    * skibidi toilet
    * regular toilet
    * Elon Musk promoting race hate
    * yo yos

  28. The anti-immigrant political party accepting influence from an immigrant outside of their country

    The irony is hilarious

  29. Farage is putting all his eggs in one basket (of deplorables) and hoping they don’t split down the middle whilst watching them actively split down the middle. Musk might not even make it to the inauguration at this rate, do people really believe they can keep it together for 4 years!? When the inevitable happens either Farage isn’t getting anything from Musk or he does but can kiss goodbye to his access to Trump.

    And then import a million Indians based on his plans for America

  31. You mean Musk who is currently insulting young and average Americans by imply they are idiots and can’t do basic jobs?

    Yes I’m sure his ideas of cutting investment in home education to import Asians todo the jobs for less will go down a storm with Reforms voters and the youth.
