As President-Elect Trump continues to make these abhorrent “jokes” about our sovereignty and threatening economic crippling tariffs, I’ve had enough and I would like to do something about it, even if it is unlikely to affect anything. I am proposing a nationwide boycott on American goods in response to the inappropriate and disgusting behavior of the future president. I can not in good conscience spend money on goods from a country whose incoming head of state is “joking” about our very existence as a sovereign and independent nation. We boycotted Loblaws for price gouging. We should do the same in response to these remarks. Buy Local!

Time for a 2025 version of this! I appreciate the effort and patriotism, but this is much harder than you would think.

I wouldn’t even buy U.S. products anymore due to the U.S. Supreme Courts decision to overturn the Chevron doctrine; they may be unsafe.

  5. Good idea, buy the stuff we can’t live without like important parts and stuff before terrif. Avoid spending on all amarican non essentials after terrif.

The few items listed in the article are easy to find ults for.

  6. Dude is upset with trump over bad/mean comments meanwhile china is literally stomping the uyghur people.

This assumes Canadian products won’t rise in price because Canadian suppliers would never line their pockets at the misfortune of the public.

Too bad certain things are still way overpriced in Canada, like classic cars and classic trucks.
