I’m starting to think the Junta are kind of boned.

Superior firepower will do it…

The Junta is on its back foot. They have been relying on Russian support, mostly in terms of material, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a few Russian advisors there too. And this is the fun part, those relying on Russian support like Armenia and Bashar al-Assad have shown that Russia is weak now. It needs all the men and material it can get for its war on Ukraine.
Back to Myanmar. The Junta has gone from controlling around 70 % of the territory in the spring of ’23 to about 40 % now. Still, the territory they control is the most populated and contains most of the natural resources. I did ask myself a week ago when watching another of these videos from Myanmar, I’ll start paying closer attention when larger military facilities are overrun. Turns out that this the second regional military command taken out in the last five months. Not looking good for the Juntas.
