    I finally got into public housing after a victim of 9/11 passed away.

    For senior citizens to get into public housing under HUD, one has to wait for someone else to die.

    Forget about local housing authorities.
    Political as hell.

    Took 3 half years. Each complex runs its own application process.

    Having a central submission process seems to be out of the picture.
