As a Finn, I can confirm that everywhere you go in this country, you’ll see a shitload of old people. This place is turning into a big retirement home.

Serious question, how can a country even survive economically when there are more retired people than working people? Mathematically, they can’t.

    3. Ireland 2022 it was 15.7% (https://data.cso.ie/table/FY002)

      Northern Ireland 2021 it was 16.1% (https://build.nisra.gov.uk/en/custom/data?d=PEOPLE&v=AGE_BAND_AGG2D)

      Scotland’s 2022 it was 20% (https://www.scotlandscensus.gov.uk/webapi/opentable?id=0193f5b9-0919-70fc-959e-f826c4339ba1)

      Wales 2021 it was 21.3%

England 2021 it was 18.4% (both England and Wales – https://www.ons.gov.uk/datasets/create/filter-outputs/5513b285-8d56-42ca-bb1c-5ce0f49e338b#get-data)

None of these are likely to have gone down.

      Surprised by Cyprus tbh.

Young Cypriots are itching to leave and boomers from northern Europe like to retire there.

Visible for Germany even for me as a Pole. No matter which city’s old town I go to (although it is mostly Gdańsk and Kraków) I see at least 3 groups of 10 or more 60+ Germans with a tour guide.

Would kicking out one million Syrians improve this or make it worse?
