*Citizens United* is among the worst decisions to ever come out of the Supreme Court. Corporations are *not* people and unlimited money is *not* speech. The damage this crooked decision has inflicted on our democracy is immeasurable.

Funding of political candidates should be standardized and funding from private sources of all kinds made highly criminal. Lobbying while we’re at it. And ‘gifts’ to judges.

Wondering if at least a temporary pac ban/controls could applied until Musk exits politics.

A private citizen threatening elected government officials. This is what fascism looks like.

Felon Musk isn’t that bright. We could use this to our advantage. We just need a group of progressives to get on Felons good side long enough to take the place of the Pelosi puppets.

Then they all vote against super PACs and kick his arse out of government forever.

Time to sneak in some sheep in wolves clothing

The Washington Post alleges that in 1995, Musk was admitted to Stanford University’s graduate school but didn’t enroll in classes. He instead used the student visa to stay in the U.S. and work on what would eventually become Zip2, Musk’s online business directory. The Post also alleges that in 1996, investors made a funding agreement contingent on Musk obtaining permission to work in the U.S. within 45 days. Zip2 board member Derek Proudian told the newspaper that Musk’s immigration status was “not what it should be.”

Rule of law… Law and order… right? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Charge musk with immigration violations, seize his assets, and deport him immediately.

Nah, I agree with Elon for once. Let’s primary the old doddering septa and octogenarians handing our futures to the same corporations that fund the Republicans and put some actual progressives in Congress and committees. For all the stupidity of the tea party they knew how to play the game and kick obstacles out of the way. We could learn from them on that one thing.

If Democrats had worked with progressives to address this at any time in the last 15 years then we wouldn’t be here.

As a democrat, why would you want funding from Musk in a primary? That instantly gets a target on your back. People would immediately accuse you of being MAGA in sheep’s clothing, and once you get elected you would immediately change parties.

It is illegal for Government Contractors to threaten Government Employees. If he wants to continue this end his government contracts. Accountability shouldn’t be this hard for democrats.

They are threatened by an illegal immigrant, and they don’t even see the irony.

Banning superPACs can’t come until Republicans are powerless to prevent it. For that we need smarter voters on our side,.

Too little too fucking late you god damn cowards. They sure loved it when that dark money was flowing into their coffers.

I get the worry (especially the super PACs), but I feel like saying “My opponent is supported by Elon Musk” is going to be pretty damaging at least in Dem primaries
