      This isnt´t the first time authority’s were warned about a person who would later commit such an attack but chose to ignore it and do nothing. Seems like people have to die first for them do actually respond.

      It wasn‘t the police, it was the „foreigners office“ – who, admittedly, could have forwarded it to the police but didn’t.
      Then she sent an email to a police department she thought was the Berlin, Germany PD. However, she erroneously sent it to Berlin, New Jersey. Very unfortunate.

      To be fair, BAMF Social Media Team is probably a 20 something year old intern and the police doesnt really use email to communicate I guess.

      Good intentions but wow she did everything wrong. Call the damn police, they understand english. Sending emails is useless and she sent her concerns to two wrong places.

      She didn’t. She DMed the German Office for Migration and Refugees on **bloody Twitter**.

      She evidently wasn’t smart enough to simply call the police or walk up to a police station, instead writing DMs and eMails to unrelated government agencies. She may as well have contacted the local animal shelter and the Museum of Modern Art, that would’ve been equally as effective.

      The title is wrong. The girl tried to warn the police but wrote to the wrong mail adress. She contacted a police station in the US and the BAMF who is not police.
