At least Farage will shut up about this now, but he is going to claim victory for it.
> Mohammed Amaaz, 20, is charged with two offences of causing actual bodily harm, one charge of assaulting an emergency worker and one charge of common assault. Muhammed Amaad, 25, is charged with causing actual bodily harm.
> No police officers will be charged.
Fucking spot on.

But i thought they’d been let off because of woke!
More seriously, it really shouldn’t take this long to charge people for cases like this.
I do think it would be helpful if both police and CPS could come out for a job like this and provide a detailed breakdown of why this takes so long. The public have unrealistic views/expectations of how long an investigation should take and such a breakdown may answer some of the questions people have.
e.g.:
On this date the report was made
On this date we asked for CCTV – there was a delay getting it for these reasons
On this date we tried to contact this witness – but they’d moved home down to London so we requested the Met get a statement from them.
On this date we got the statement back.
On this date all the enquiries were completed and we sent the file to CPS. It was assigned to a member of staff with a workload of 50 cases….
Such transparency is surely a good thing, and would help negate any cries of conspiracy/foul play.
Good. The CPS should probably explain why it took so long to come to a decision. Not because I’m trying to criticise, but because I genuinely can’t understand why it took half a year to decide
Pity they can’t be prosecuted for accusing the police of assault and wasting police time.
I’m surprised they aren’t living happily somewhere in Pakistan with their extended family after all this time. Probably, someone had the good sense to confiscate their passports.
Was this the incident that led to the video of the two muppets sat on the sofa with their solicitor claiming they were the victims?
This has taken far too long to decide on these charges. Whether the police were charged also should not have delayed it. The fact of the matter is that they clearly assaulted the officers. End of. This delay or lack of a response was politically motivated.
>No police officers will be charged.
Why the hell not? Anyone else would for that kind of disproportionate response. You shouldn’t be able to get away with giving a headstomp to someone you’ve already subdued. At that point it stops being self defence becomes serious assault.
Let us hope saint nigel will be happy with this. (But I won’t be putting any money on it).
Well this took long enough … What’s happening Starmer been embarrassed into it eventually
