The Crime at the Fast Food Restaurant

The incident took place on the evening of the 14th of this month at a McDonald’s in Kokura Minami, Kitakyushu, a popular spot with many customers.

Sakaya Nakajima, a third-year middle school student, was stabbed and killed by a man who entered the restaurant with what appeared to be a knife. Her male classmate, who was with her at the time, also sustained serious injuries.

Police have been progressing with the investigation by interviewing people in the surrounding area and analysing surveillance camera footage.

Today, sources revealed that a man in his 40s, who lives near the scene, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

So far, there has been no evidence linking the victims, Nakajima and the male student, to any prior incidents or troubles that could explain the attack. The male student described the attacker as “a complete stranger.”
