Why London? I thought Switzerland had far stronger banking privacy laws.

Almost the same amount as that Lizzie memorial….

Better than taxpayer’s money I’d say!

Hoping it can be held until we see what way the rebel government goes, then use it to facilitate rebuilding if they continue to move in a moderate direction.

Take it, and use the money to help all the Syrian refugees get back home. Anything left over, give to the Syrians to help with rebuilding the nation.

And that’s just what he had while living and working in London.

Very much doubt he will be back to his old haunts anytime soon.

Seize it to house, feed and clothe the homeless in London so they don’t have to be out in the cold.

  7. How much have UK businesses been compelled to spend on Anti Money Laundering policies and procedures?

Meanwhile the City’s banks coin it in flagrantly facilitating dictators.

In case people aren’t aware Assad’s wife Asmaa is a British citizen as are their children, as a result she cannot be sanctioned and neither can her children.

I’m guessing this money is in her/her family’s name and thus technically free to use.
