      This is exciting news. If HDMI 2.2 can deliver uncompressed 8K at 120Hz or beyond, it’s going to be a game-changer for both media and gaming setups. Hopefully, they keep the same port design and just require a new cable no one wants to replace their entire setup for compatibility. Can’t wait to see how it compares to DisplayPort 2.1 in real-world use.

      I hope in 2.2 they make slimmer cables. I just bought 2.1 cables off amazon and could be just the particular brand but they’re stiff and fat, makes twisting them into the back of devices and running under rugs a pain.
