Protest gegen die Regierung in Belgrad, Serbien

Context:

Part of the ongoing anti-government protests that began shortly after the collapse of a canopy at the main Novi Sad railway station that killed 15 people, with 2 injured still in critical condition.

Students of almost 50 faculties across the country have coordinated blockades, ceasing all collegiate activity until their demands, which include criminal charges for those deemed responsible for the canopy collapse, have been met.

On December 11th, Serbian president Aleksandar Vučić held a press conference addressing the demands of the protesters, who could be heard blowing whistles and chanting outside of the venue, where he said that all requests have been fulfilled.

After the conference, a unit of special police (Policijska brigada) cordoned off a section of road outside of the venue in order to escort Vučić out of the building, where a clash between the protesters and police occurred.

Shortly afterwards, the students have announced that their requests have not been met and that the university blockades will continue, scheduling a protest in front of the headquarters of state-owned public broadcaster, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), on December 12th.

I’ve never understood the concept of protests, this guys will only make promises and do nothing about it…… Nigerian EndSARS protest, the government removed all the CCTV cameras then sent the military to delete the citizens.

I mean if you riot, they can declare state of emergency and they do whatever they want.

And if you protest, they don’t take you serious so long they get their money.

For the Americans, NO being armed solves nothing, even you as amricans, don’t think you can out gun your government, a simple bio weapon will do damage, that’s something they can use that you don’t have.

In all honesty, it may be a fantasy but I think the answer to democracy is An elimination cult, not one that attacks based on instructions, but the one that audits the government and silently pick out whoever is being a fucknut. Let the office be scary, make it a do or die situation. Let the Luigi events occur like 6 times at random without connections, they will be forced to settle down
