Ist das Smog? So war es in Eriwan in den letzten Tagen rund um die Uhr. Die Wetter-App zeigt sonnige Bedingungen an, daher gehe ich davon aus, dass es kein Nebel ist.

  1. Smog, no? Some people i knon fb have a counter for this and it’s been going off charts in Yerevan the last few days, according to the posts.

can it be from burned woods for heat? my air purifier is working harder the last couple of weeks

  3. Yes its smog, it is becoming unbearable at this point, yet not a single politician is talking about the air pollution issue

  4. i’d say both, we always get fog around this time of the year, especially when it doesn’t snow, but I can smell burnt wood in the air as well.

  5. I think this is more fog than smog. I live on a hill on 12 floor. I can smell something burning on the street, but not at the balcony. The smoke is heavy and stays near the ground. From distance, you can see it as a separate layer.

Also you can go to the mountains and see the same picture, where barely someone lives. So my understanding is, while people do burn things for heating, and it does add to the degrading air quality, the visual part is mostly natural.

However, I would love to find a lab or something to prove this with numbers.

It’s definitely a smog. 💯 Check out the air quality of Yerevan in the IQAir app – you’ll be shocked.

  7. It is a heavy smog, yeah. We’re extremely unlucky with winds this season, and it’s exhausting.

More exhausting that there’s no official reaction.

    I miss actual fogs…
