You can’t get a tattoo at 16 but you can change your gender ? I don’t get it

  2. Good, teens are old enough to habe a grasp on their own identity, parents shouldn’t be able to deny them that

I am okay with this. This is a ruling to make an administrative part easier. Changing your name and gender on an ID is reversible if someone regrets it in years to come.

This ruling will still NOT allow teens to take hormones or consent to gender altering surgery without parents consent.

  4. How does this affect mandatory military service? Can I just be female until I’m too old for it and then change back?

Switzerland late to the game. The woke madness is already practically over in the Western world and Switzerland still wastes resources for self-made issues.

For anyone who didn’t read the article : the Federal Court only upheld the current law, which gives a 16 year old the right to change their gender without their parents’ consent.

In this case the parents were witholding and refusing to give their child their passport in order to prevent them from signing the declaration to change gender at the Zivilstandsamt.

This isn’t the only law in Switzerland where a minor’s consent matters more than their parents’ by the way. For example when unmarried parents decide to finally tie the knot and choose a common name, any children they have that are over 12 years old can refuse to change their last name.

Does somebody know or have an idea how that could affect mandatory military service? I’d be curious to see if there was a change in statistics for active service members due to this
