The unnamed leader of a crime gang was taught how to make the uncrewed devices during a military course in his own country which employs drones to fight Russia’s army.

He sold the powerful drones to criminal organisations in Morocco so that they could ship over [drugs ](https://inews.co.uk/topic/drugs?srsltid=AfmBOop40eBGZUcz1SOU9aWJ19vyannW74pwrw2WWpKlxBUE6XHlC3TF&ico=in-line_link)to Spain without the unnamed aircraft having to land, according to police.

Spanish authorities arrested ten members of the first criminal organisation which has used these micro aircraft to fly up to 10kg of drugs at a time across the narrow Strait of Gibraltar which separates the Iberian Peninsula and the North African country last week.

The parts for the drones, which had an autonomy of up to 31 miles (50km), were made by small companies in Ukraine and shipped in lorries to southern Spain
