My understanding is that Pierre Pollevierre is hoping to be the next Prime Minister of Canada and he believes that it is in his interest to undermine the health, well-being and prosperity of Canadians at every opportunity. Central to his messaging is that he hates Canadians and he hates everything Canada stands for. This messaging is effective at breaking down communities and social bonds between various interests. Given that, this latest accusation is to be expected.

Sigh…I don’t think Pierre would have done any better and I think he’s making a mistake if he believes Canadians want anything less than a united front in dealing with this.

There will be lots of opportunity for partisanship later. Bad timing right now.

It is correct that as far as the public and media are aware Justin Trudeau returned from that meeting empty-handed, however we are not privy to what might be taking place behind the scenes or even the meat-and-potatoes of the actual discussion at Mar-a-Lago. Pierre Poilievre is inadvertently setting himself a high bar to achieve once he’s PM, which is a one-meeting-resolution or at the very least returning with something substantive every meeting, and that’s not necessarily how Donald Trump plays politics.

That picture shows how un-serious these Conservatives are.

The Prime Minister does his damn job by going and meeting with the President-Elect who is threatening to hurt Canada economically, and Poilievre’s first priority is to run to the print shop to make a really low quality banner for his podium.

I am getting so sick of this bombastic simpleton.

Its times like this that I get its the Opposition’s role to, you know, oppose, but I am curious if its accomplishing what they want.
