Britische Gesetzgeber stimmen für die Legalisierung der Sterbehilfe

“In a pivotal decision on Friday, British lawmakers voted to legalize assisted suicide for certain terminally ill patients, subject to stringent safeguards. This marks a potentially transformative shift in the country’s approach to end-of-life care.”

Some context: this has NOT passed into law yet.

It is a private Bill which has been approved to pass onto the next stage. It can still be thrown out at any point – the critical point will come at the third reading of the Bill at which point after that it will reach Royal Assent and become law.

Don’t get hopes up yet – it’s a positive step but not near the finish line yet.
