  1. Kitchen slabs do not handle heat.

Looks like yours is an mdf core with a plastic cover, which is pretty common

I have no idea how to get rid of this, but its happened where I live too. Dont put hot things on it :’)

Depends on the type/material used. Do you have a link or sny info on what it is? If its the regular vinyl covered cointer tops then no it will not handle hot pans and pots. Only quite expensive stone counter tops will.

Most kitchen slabs are not suitable for placing hot objects such as pots or oven trays directly on them. The main exception is ceramic ones, they are usually rated to handle 300 degrees or more just fine. Stone ones are usually fine too, though it is not recommended as they *can* crack when exposed to sudden strong heat.

As for fixing it, unfortunately there is probably no way of getting this to look pristine again, probably the best you can do is make it less obvious. If you bought the slab from a store, I suggest you take some pictures and go back there to ask for advice before attempting anything. Or look up the manufacturer if you know the name and contact their customer support.
