  1. Sounds like beginning of some weird joke. “1 illegal immigrant, 1 immigrant convict, 3 people wanted by Police, 6 people without any driving licence, 1 person with fake driving licence, 2 drunk drivers, 1 person banned from driving.. walk into a bar”

On the 7th day of Christmas, Warsaw police gave to me:

    7 illegal immigrants

    6 immigrant convicts

    5 people wanted by police

4 people without any driving licence

3 people with fake driving licence

    2 drunk drivers

and 1 person banned from driving!

The main issue is how the existing process of taxi drivers recruiting looks like – basically you are an employee of not Bolt/Uber but a rather shady “fleet”. Fleets are responsible for finding new drivers , obtaining their info such as name, driver license etc. Not all fleets are shady obviously- big ones are doing a solid background check to understand who they employ. Fleets generate revenue by % of their drivers’ rides mostly so in their interest is to “plug in” as much drivers as possible. That’s why greedy and shady ones are trying to recruit as much people as possible, giving zero fuck about whom actually they recruit. That’s the reason why such problem exists. Don’t blame migrants/ “multiculturalism” here, blame “entrepreneurs” and “business owners” who rush to earn as much as possible. Moreover, usually after recruitment they don’t care about their drivers, in worst case scenario they don’t pay drivers in time and provide zero support. So what is needed is changing the focus from punching taxi apps to punching and checking those taxi fleets on how they perform

    Ever since 2 years I don’t think I’ve had a single Polish taxi driver…

Looks like many of those crimes were committed by Poles too. I sure hope no one will make the *whole thing* about the immigrants.
