I cannot cook without olive oil. I will prepare everything with it, rice, eggs, meat, pasta, salads, soup, you name it.

Can someone make a map that corresponds to this with the average lifespan? We can assess whether olive oil is as good for you as they say!

This map requires an additional colour for “Lard” and maybe also “Tallow”.

Sunflower oil is way more consumed than both in Bulgaria. I don’t know anyone that uses butter and people very rarely use olive oil

    5. I’d be curious to overlay this with heart health population stats

For Kosovo, which isn’t showing here for whatever reason, we use sunflower oil more than both butter and olive oil.

Weird comparision. In my experience these products are used for different things.

    8. This map is outdated for like 20 years, but is reposted again and again every month

Thou shall not burn the oil, but burn the butter and enjoy virgin oil

My old man is from Emilia-Romanga. Never seen his family use butter once.

    11. Map clearly making a representation of the two products and only those two products.

In my country olive oil is so expensive. I can’t understand how some people buy it. Like 7.5 euro and above for a bottle
