Seems like a fairly safe issue for Moe to campaign on. I don’t think anybody believes that someone would have two kids who independently decide this without any influence from their parents. Kids are pretty impressionable, and just because they want to play with dolls doesn’t make them a girl, but parental influence could convince them that.
