izna – N/a (Das erste Mini-Album)

**IZNA** – This is a nice sorta throwback sound. Wish the music video had a bit more variety to showcase the investment in the group, but it’s all good.

**TIMEBOMB** – Prefer this more than the title track, near perfect for the Osaka/Japan environment a few days ago.

**IWALY (izna Version)** – I will always love you! This is a fan favorite for sure, will probably be a staple of their future concerts and so on.

**DRIP** – My favorite song since Mnet I-LAND 2. There’s something about its instrumentals even that just makes you want to nod your head along or start dancing, so cool. Hoping they promote this song as well. And yup, this izna version is a bit different, will listen again to it later.

**FAKE IT** – I like the atmosphere of this song, it’s got the nostalgia/ethereal/etc. aspect for real.

They need to make Ryu Sarang constantly post on Chinese social media ASAP throughout this debut promotion period, her resemblance with Zhou Ye (Everyone Loves Me, Better Days, etc.), Zhang Jingyi (Blossoms in Adversity, Lighter and Princess, etc.), and so on is just too great.

Sarang is such an all-rounder, hoping they give her opportunities to do at least web dramas or variety shows, she’s got the soft voice and then also crazy personality, lol.

Jungeun and Jiyoon serving vocals, same with Koko with her dancing, and of course Mai with her visuals as well.

So happy they finally debuted, this group has nice vocal/dance/variety show/etc. lines, hoping they get lots of success in 2025!

**izna**: song is nice! a little bit too simple in terms of instrumental for the chorus wish it was a bit punchier, but the last chorus makes up for it! i do really like the prechorus with the “ooh la la la”. i love the bridge jiyoon and jungeun are a great vocal duo. the mv was kind of a let down..

**timebomb**: I LOVED the song when they performed it on MAMA, it’s sooo fun and is better than izna imo. i love the post chorus part at the end of the song with jiyoon and jungeun’s vocals!

**iwaly**: izna version is great! the chorus is very nostalgic.

**drip**: love this song, the new additions to the song for this release are nicee to make it a little different (ie. the adlibs at the end)

**fake it**: this song has such a nostalgic vibe with the synths, love it.

wish we got more new songs but i like the izna versions! congrats on your debut girls

izna: good as an introduction to the group, but not really a title. jungeun jiyoon bridge cld have ate more tbh, jungeun was set up for such a satisfying high note that didn’t happen

timebomb: this gives me fake it nostalgia vibes combined with the energy of drip AKA i love it, i LOVE how mai sounds in this, she really does add smth unique w her voice + the ready to blow your mind by jungeun UGHHHH

iwaly, fake it, drip: all good to have and interesting to hear them in the members’ voices! wish we had final love song though, that’s honestly one of my favourite songs from the series. also the editing on their voices for all 3 songs is really jarring, or maybe i’m too used to the live versions

i think this album is really nice sonically for the time of the year, i quite like its vibes. excited to see them perform! hope that we see more variation in positions than the series though, i do feel like so many of them are so well-rounded so it wld be a bummer not to capitalise on that, but interesting to see where they go after this (w more new songs!)

I love every song except DRIP, unfortunately! IWALY is so so so so good, it’s the best song I’ve heard in a while. IZNA sounds way better in studio versions than in those TikTok snippets, the production really shines through in full quality.
