why is the USA coloured so much darker than Nepal, even though Nepal has more climbers by nationality and their number of climbers is actually the max amount available on your scale?? yet Nepal’s colour is mid whereas USA is dark. wtf is going on here.

I would love to see this map compared with GDP. Better yet, if there are any Data Analysis can you compare the number of climbers per country to the country’s GDP to see how much of a correlation there is.

It’s funny how these maps show all of Kashmir as part of India even the parts belonging to China and Pakistan.

Surprised by the low number of climbers from Pakistan given K2 is (at least partly) in Pakistan. Plus several other major Himalaya peaks too.
I know it’s affected by availability of resources (funding, etc). But I was still expecting to see Pakistan well ahead of countries like Indonesia and UAE.

I get that the air is thin up there, but that’s no excuse for forgetting about the Atlantic Ocean.
India and china have the exact same? Seems unlikely
How many of these people actually made it back down is the question.
Serbia also has a climber and his name is Dragan Jaćimović.
