      I read a Naver translation someone posted on Twitter and from what I understood is that assuming this is MadeIn’s Gaeun, she brought her boyfriend back to the dorm to hang out and got in big trouble as soon as it happened. She apologized, said she’d leave the group if that’s what they wanted, but the CEO offered an “alternative” to let him be her boyfriend for a day. Then he tried kissing and groping her.

      It’s really gross and chilling and I hope that everybody involved is protected from this person. I’m like sick to my stomach reading it.

      If and that is a big IF, the rumour the CEO did it because she showed up to the dorms with her boyfriend and he saw the chance to blackmail her is true, then that would hopefully mean it wasn’t systemic abuse and that the rest of the girls were not victims too.

      Still, if the story is true, he is an absolute garbage human scum and I feel so sorry for Gaeun to have to have gone through all that.

      This is so disgusting. I hope she’s okay (if it is her, I know it’s not confirmed), but with her being on hiatus I’m really worried. I hope she’s able to get justice and recover, and hopefully not lose her idol dream because of this creep.

      He’s a sexual predator and this would be horrible to happen to anybody but I also think it’s important to note that, assuming this is her, she’s a 2005 liner who just turned 19 this month. The bulk of his harassment shared was done when she was 18, but he’s known her since she was a minor because she “pre-debuted” in Limelight at age 16. I hope she’s okay and he rots.

      Jesus christ, I am beyond angry right now. What a human piece of shit this guy is. I hope Gaeun (if it really was her) is okay, especially mentally. She was always so bright in the groups content.. I hope she gets better soon and can start living her life the way she wants.

      This is absolutely disgusting. I hope Gaeun is in a much safer environment now, and that the other girls will be soon also. She is so so so brave for speaking out about this, it’s an extremely difficult situation for any woman let alone one so young to be put in. There were certain things that the CEO said back in the Limelight days that made me side-eye him but could have been written off as just awkward translations hyping up the members, but now it’s clear that that wasn’t the case and he’s actually a complete weirdo predator

      Like the defense is just “she suggested it.” But like who cares? He’s a CEO misusing his power over a teenage girl and it’s so blatantly predatory. Hopefully none of this succeeds at manipulating the public because no teenage girls are safe around this dude.

      Screw him. I hope Gaeun is surrounded by people who want to protect her and her best interests, and that she knows it’s not her fault no matter what happened.

      This man is a predator. Gaeun is a child even if she is a legal adult and any child in her place would most likely behave the same way. I feel so horribly for her as a woman and as a woman whose been in a similar position before. As a keplian, I feel disgusted and betrayed. I supported this company for years and was planning to buy albums and merch. This man has minors in his control as a CEO and I really don’t care how the company tries to spin it. End of the day, Gaeun has been a idol under him since she was a minor and has gone through a unbelievable trauma.

      This reminds me of something that happened to me when I was Gaeun’s age 🙁 She is incredibly brave for speaking out, and I hope that piece of shit gets everything he deserves. If he’s done this to one idol, he’s definitely done it to others.

      As a LIMELIGHT fan since Starlight, I’m mortified for Gaeun, and the other girls if this is the CEO they had to be around. As much as I loved MADEIN’s debut, I hope the girls can get out of there if necessary, because who even knows if just getting the CEO out of there would be enough?

      This is HORRIBLE. Hopefully Gaeun is safe now and can find healing. I hope her members are safe as well. And that scum deserves more than hell has to offer. Praying justice will be served, she’s way too young.

      Seems like we’ve been witnessing a lot of the ugly underbelly of the kpop industry come to light this year. From petty corporate bs to overly obsessive fan behaviour to physical and sexual abuse. So much evil hiding beneath very pretty packages and loads of sanitization. This feels especially terrifying when you think about how young the people who come into this kpop system are.
