The solution will be prison labor. Homosexuals, dissidents, people who wear glasses.

  2. Hope you all prepped for the real inflation. Stuff is about to get real.

So the downside of the plan is a cost of $315 billion (conservative estimate), ruinination of millions of lives, and, uh, not having food and affordable stuff. What’s the upside again?

No, no, no. Don’t you see? This is what you voted for. Embrace your idiotic decision.

And when you lose your farm, mega corporations will be happy to pay YOU $6/day to work them. Don’t worry about annoying OHSA rules.

Why are farmers scared of the hell they lined up to vote in favor of?

  6. There is this theory that illegal immigration on America’s southern border would be very easy to control if all companies and individuals were fined heavily for employing undocumented people. However, large parts of the American economy, such as agricultural businesses, are dependent on cheap labor. Companies love workers who are paid very little and are easy to terminate. Even the Republicans know this, which is why no government has ever done anything except talk a lot about it.

  7. The farmers don’t have to worry. The retaliatory boycotts from China, should more then enough to kill farming long before they even have time to thing about harvest them.

Too late. Lol, wait til you see your grocerie bill in 60 or so days. We voted to let billionaires decide what’s best for us. The fact that they have more money than 70 percent of America combined i don’t see a good outcome. I mean, trump is the working man’s guy, yet he doesn’t want to pay overtime. Say it with me. WE AS A COUNTRY AND THE WORLD WE ARE FUCKED. Now that being said if they do well and we are better off in 4 years I’ll be the first to apologize and congratulate but the track record isnt looking good. Just my 2 cents.

  11. original_doc_strange on

Is America discussing about farmers being upset about losing slave labour?
    Again!

Hey, you stupid fucks put trump signs up on every highway and byway all across this country. You reap what you sow. I’ll play the world’s tiniest violin for ya.

  13. Don’t worry, he’ll bail them out again after being directly responsible for ruining their lives and they won’t bat an eye

At least no trans prisoner,MI-13 gang member drag queen with a book won’t be able to use the wrong outhouse on their property.

  15. > Restaurant owners and agricultural leaders are calling for a balanced approach that supports businesses and preserves the workforce that is critical to their survival.

Maybe you should have thought about it _before_ electing a clown?

Suddenly food prices become unaffordable- again.

    *Thanks Trump*

Someone print some stickers that say “I did that” to point at prices

  17. Those same farmers that overwhelmingly voted for him? Hmm tough shit

  18. He *told* them his exact plans. They voted *for him*. Where is the shock and surprise coming from?

  19. There’s going to be a lot of material for r/LeopardsAteMyFace in the next four years.

Alabama cracked down on illegal immigrants twenty years ago. Their farming industry went to absolute shit. When the economy tanks and prices skyrocket it will be Biden’s fault still though right. Right.

  21. Shouldn’t the agricultural industry like not be exploiting labor laws?

  22. BelCantoTenor on

It’s amazing how many people have no idea that the entire food industry in America is dependent upon illegal immigrants. Working in the fields. Harvesting, maintaining, and processing nearly all of the fruits, vegetables, and meat consumed in the United States.

    This is gonna suck.

  23. Aww are you only worried now?

    TOO FUCKING BAD.

Suffer with the rest of us.

  24. PM_WORST_FART_STORY on

The farmers that overwhelming voted for Trump? Fuck them. Let leopards eat their faces.

  25. LegoLady47 on

Duh – paying legal immigrants or US citizens will cost more (if they can be found) which will lead to higher prices at the grocery store. I’m sure Trump voters never thought of that..smh

  26. one_bean_hahahaha on

The worry is all for show. What will happen is that all the immigrant farm workers will be placed in detainment camps because mass deportation is a logistical nightmare and won’t happen. The prisoners will then be leased back to the farmers at slave labour rates. This is all a plan to convert millions of labourers into slaves.

  27. What the absolute fuck did they think was going to happen? This was done in Alabama, and they had crops rotting on the vine. Vice did a segment on it, and they tried to replace illegal workers with prisoners, unemployed people from the city, and no one had a better attitude or work ethic than the illegals.

They even pay into social security that they’ll never be able to collect, so they actually contribute to social security solvency.

Like most conservative “solutions”, they try and fix the surface level of a problem and fail to realize the problem has 20 layers. Or decide that their voters won’t think that hard. Exactly like this. It took these farmers a full month to realize a vote for Trump fucked them? The country would be better off of some people just stayed home election Day.
