    Carslberg vs. Keo – Zyperns Favorit?


    Ich habe diesen Artikel gelesen, dass Carlsberg (Zypern) eine Auszeichnung als bestes Bier (auf weltweiter Ebene) erhalten hat.

    Jetzt erinnere ich mich, dass die Leute vor 10-15 Jahren (ich erinnere mich vielleicht falsch) Carlsberg mehr mochten (ich eingeschlossen), aber irgendwann wechselten die meisten Leute dazu, KEO zu bevorzugen?
    Wir hatten diese Diskussion schon einmal mit einigen Freunden, aber niemand weiß wirklich, warum oder wie. Es ist eher vage "Nun, jetzt bevorzuge ich KEO und ich denke, Carlsberg hat etwas geändert"

    Weiß jemand, ob sich wirklich etwas geändert hat? Oder liegt es nur an meinen Geschmacksknospen?

    Was ist also Ihr Lieblingsbier (in Zypern?)?

      KEO is better. Carlsberg does suprisignly good non-alcoholic beer (without sugar), but their alcoholic version is mediocre at best.

      I don’t particularly like either, but if I had to choose between the 2, then it is 100% KEO. Carlsberg is fine if you want a refreshing drink or if you like non-alcoholic beers (their non-alchohol one is very similar to their alcoholic one, but are both bad when compared to actual beers) and KEO is fine if you are planning to drink a lot of beers.

      For Cypriot beers there is only one answer: The GOAT Sandy. If you prefer lighter beers, their lager one is like KEO on steroids, but their weiss beer is where the money is at. And bonus points that a pint usually costs only 50c more than a KEO one, instead of 1.50 that the other foreign beers usually cost.

      Is there another link for the Cypriot article? I can’t seem to be able to Google it. For the record.. I was team Keo but now team Carlsberg Cyprus

      Sales are about 50/50. Photiades and KEO control about 90% of the market.

      Have to say you can’t beat a cold Keo – was suffering from the heat and had a cold one and I was revived !

      I’m an American so not local perspective.

      Carlsburg is way, way better than Keo.

      So Carlsberg gave an award to a Carlsberg beer and somehow you consider this important. Great.
