      I bet all energy companies will report enormous profits next year and their CEO’s will get insane bonuses.

      I heard all this last year. I went into Octopus 12m fix. They added an early exit charge but they never do that. Anyway price cap goes down last Jan. Not saying it won’t go up but my tariff has been above the cap all year because of this.

      I have now been able to put a switch to a cheaper deal now. Waiting to move.

      £21 a year – less than £2 a month.

      Yes, not ideal. And yes, they’re too high to begin with. But let’s not pretend this is a crippling figure and get involved with the hysteria.
