      Trudeau credits him for making the right move and this is the thanks he gets. Trudeau’s probably glad to be rid of him

      No they didn’t, they stole it and packaged it as their own. Jagmeet will get zero credit for it and the coming polls won’t move at all in NDP favor

      One thing that the LPC and CPC are better at is reading the room on what policies held by other parties are popular and then adopting them. The NDP didn’t need to get into power to make dentalcare happen and the GPC didn’t need to win for us to get a carbon tax. That’s really smart as you don’t need to fight for years to convince people the plan is good; you just swoop in when critical mass has been met and then implement it. This more than anything is why Trudeau has started tying immigration to housing rhetoric and backing off the higher targets.
