      I’m not really interested in the word salad justification for not declaring the donations.

      It’s all more than likely above board, just scrupulously declare who is paying you money and articles like this can’t be written.

      Otherwise you look like a dodgy fuck.

      We’ve just had 14 years of that, Starmer was clear that there would be change. Not the best of starts but there’s time.

      So do us all a favour and don’t make yourself look like the last lot.

      Taking donations from foreign governments/foreign government owned companies and foreign lobby groups should be a big no no

      Ideally no donations from any lobby groups, but let’s start with foreign interests
