      All it did was damage some senior living home. Those warheads looked like duds and probably just a warning from Russia letting Ukraine know they can hit them anywhere.

      Ok so no explosions on impact. Means these where either duds or Decoy MIRVs of some kind (or just simulator blocks). Which means this had exactly 0 military use and was purely symbolic.

      Pardon my ignorance, but are they not exploding on impact? It seems the trail of the incoming rocket is actually larger than any resulting impact explosion.

      Can anyone with more knowledge than me explain?

      From what I understand Russia doesn’t have a non nuclear warhead for these, ​so they were used as kinetic weapons.

      It looks like instead of actual warheads it was loaded entirely with decoys. This wasn’t meant to do damage, it’s a statement.

      If true, using an ICBM is a great way for Putin to start a nuclear war by mistake. I wonder if Russia told the US what it was doing to make sure it did not respond to when it spotted the launch.

      Was that one mirv, and each flash is a reentry vehicle?

      Or was that several mirv’s, and each flash was it’s own set of reentry vehicles? When you slow it down, each hit looks like 3-4 individual hits. The mirv’s on these missiles apparently have 4 re-entry vehicles.
