They should. Everyone should. Elon and his propaganda machine are bad for everyone.

  2. It really shouldn’t take longer than thirty seconds worth of considering. It’s a really easy conclusion to reach. Time’s up. You should have left by now.

On the bright side: Lots of users.

    Downside: anti-science Nazis.

    Hmmmmm.

Any agency or public resource basically has to quit Xitter. If you publish disease response information on that platform as a means of reaching the public, are you sure it will get to them if Emperor Musk doesn’t like what you’re saying? No? Then go elsewhere.

I properly moved over to Bluesky a few days ago

It’s so much more peaceful honestly. And with somehow more QoL than Shitter. Only thing it’s really missing is a community notes type of system. Which was only *super* needed on Elon Musk’s Twitter… well, when it became Elon Musk’s Twitter.

I’m just hoping it actually catches on and Elon loses the one thing he had going for him: momentum

What the fuck is there left to consider? Do they expect him to change because of this?

Stop god damn considering and do it. “Consider” is the most abused word of cowards.

  8. Redditors are complaining about “disinformation” and “hate” on another social media site… 🤔

What are they still doing there? People on X don’t believe in the truth anyway.

  10. Musk is a traitor and a Russian asset. He and Trump are pals. Both need to go asap.

It’s a very simple website , They could just make there own.

Every major organization should quit X, but leave their account active with **ONE** pinned message. “We’re on BlueSky now <link>”.

(But knowing snowflake Elon, he’ll auto-censor any bluesky mentions on his platform.)

    “Considers”??

In other news Bluesky is going exponential. So is Xitter, just the opposite direction.

  14. Would be a good idea – to also prevent uninformed people from consuming misleading information

Not only that, the whole EU should outright ban’s X from operating in EU alongside Truth Social. I contacted my country MEPs but got no answer related to the topic, I’m going to do a repost of the messages i sent them and the comment i made on reddit and hope other people join me on this:
    .

” I’m not the smartest person

I would like to express my concern regarding recent events unfolding in other part of the globe, which will undoubtedly have a significant impact in the European democracy.

I believe that, for the sake of protecting the values of European of the democracy, we must take measures to combat disinformation, curb the spread of far-right ideologies, and ensure that we continue to serve as a global example of democracy—putting citizens and the future first, rather than personal interests.

I firmly believe that social media platforms such as Truth Social and X (Twitter) should no longer be allowed to operate within the European Union, as they are managed by foreign government agents. We cannot allow or accept that agents of a foreign government shape our ideals and beliefs for their own gain, leaving a negative mark on European democracy. No foreign government agent should have the power to control a tool capable of influencing the minds of people in other countries, whether for better or worse.

We cannot and must not become political hostages because we attempt to regulate these platforms, nor should we be their puppets.

The global future is currently uncertain, but as members of the European Union, we must stand united and not allow foreign entities to exert control over us.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and for considering my words.”

There are plenty of other platforms and it seems that many people and orgs are already leaving.

  17. I can’t believe people are only now “considering” quitting Twitter at this point.
