That’s exactly what putin wants, and one of the main reasons he probably isn’t gonna do anything significant about the long-range strikes. Hes just gonna wait out and spout the billionth nuclear threat until January 20th.

  2. Europe, where it matter most, will have to decide if they can accept the consequences and must step into a coordinated and unified leadership… there’s not time to waste guessing what Trump will do. We know enough, we know these Oligarchs want the same thing

Well, some people claim Trump is not going to cut the aid. But based on his past statements I’m inclined to believe otherwise. It’s simply that he said too many bad things about Ukraine.

It’s terrifying to envision the new world order if the US cuts the funding and Russia controls all of Ukraine. This will establish a new precedent for authoritarian leaders around the world.

Even if they officially lose the war, small pockets of resistance will remain for decades.

Drones, snipers, mines: Will Russia be able to keep a stable force around?

  6. kidcrazed2 on

This may be hard for some of Reddit to swallow but many in the US don’t care regardless of the consequences.

    >Senator JD Vance, who will be Trump’s vice-president, has regularly objected to providing arms to Ukraine, saying the US lacks the manufacturing capacity.

Well of course, 2024 is the year the US defense industry realized they have enough money and decided to stop taking new orders, to spend more time with family and friends instead. /s

Don’t worry, as a German, we’ll foot the bill. We’ll pay for 100% of what the US won’t

  9. faster. Ukraine will lose the war FASTER if the US cuts funding. Ukraine is already losing the war.

  10. kujasgoldmine on

USA is equally in danger. Russia has always been meddling with their elections, and lately there has been even serious threats given to USA. So they should not cut the support. Breaking Russia up into pieces is the solution to end it. But the new neighbours of Russia are in a more urgent danger if Russia ends up claiming enough territory.

it really is sad when the entire European continent cannot get themselves together to stop Putin. he’s not afraid of European power.

  12. Zelensky says Ukraine will lose against the Invading Russian force if US cuts funding and will have to surrender its sovereign land. fify

Which is a big part of why Russia was all-in on Trump. Losing in 2020 pushed Putin’s timeline back a bit – I’m sure he expected the Ukraine war to be over quickly, and it likely would have been without US support. Europe isn’t going to be able to provide sufficient materiel support to keep Ukraine afloat. It’s either provide troops or watch Putin expand his empire and invest in preparation for the next round.

  14. That’s the plan….so to the people.who voted for Trump was this one of the reasons why you did.
    What say you Tulsi Gabbard?

  15. What exactly does winning look like though? That seems to be the thing no one wants to talk about.

  16. TopAward7060 on

Ukraine will lose the war no matter what happens, money or not.

  17. As soon as the headline is the same but the US is replaced with a different country name i might care.

  18. blackmobius on

The only hope is for the EU to step up or a literal miracle in the next coming weeks

  19. GOP: “Yeah, it’s cool when Russia invades a European country. Let ’em take what they want. Why are you looking to the United States for world leadership? We’re ”batin’, go away!”

I don’t even recognize the Republican party anymore.

  20. jameskchou on

That is obvious and that is what Orban and Trump are trying to do

  21. RedskinsRadiant1 on

Zelensky warns Ukraine can’t win without U.S. funding, fueling debate on Europe’s role.

  22. RegretfullyRI on

Probably gonna have to come to terms with losing in some form eventually.

  23. The problem is not the funding itself, but the military aid. Europe is not able to provide enough military aid (equipment, ammunition, etc.) to sustain the war. I suspect the same may be true for the extremely important intelligence data.

Ukraine needs the US for this insight and will need it for some time.

  24. NotoriousSIG_ on

This is really going to be the moment when we figure out if Europe will actually defend itself or not. If they decide not to getting any funding for a future war from the US will be a bigger uphill battle than it already is

  25. a_good_nights_sleep on

Well yeah. Ukraines going to lose this war with Trump’s election.

This is why Putin isn’t flipping his shit about the missiles, the greatest weapon he needs has already been activated

  26. Philantramissle on

Europeans will know soon know what blood and treasure means.

  27. Europe is so weak now. I mean the people are weak in mind. Freedom is never free. Freedom is nurtured from sweat and blood actually.

  28. Everybody knows this, it’s what the puppeteer with his hand up Trumps ass wants.

  29. Hate to say it, but Ukraine lost the war when the last “spring offensive” failed to do anything.

They’re losing to what Russia has historically done best. Grind down smaller opponents and win by attrition.

Boris Johnson going to convince Zelensky to not sue for peace only to have the EU and UK completely abandon the country and rely on the US to keep the Ukrainian war effort going will not be regarded well in history. Once we’re far enough away that tribalism isn’t ruining discussion lol

  30. American: omg we can’t let that happen

Also American: why do we have to send billions of dollar to a war we’re not involve while our vets are homeless

  31. Imaginary_Goose_2428 on

Remember when Putin was talking about Trump’s debts that he’d have to repay. This is one of those debts.

No matter how many times Trump dismissively wails “Russia, Russia, Russia”, at the end of the day, he’s a Russian asset. Just like Tulsi Gabbard. Just like a lot of these Right-wing talking heads.
