      Why is polygamy illegal in Israel? They supposedly follow Jewish law for marriages between Jews, and if that’s the case, polygamy should be allowed.

      I’m from the Middle East. While I wouldn’t practice polygamy, I don’t see a problem with it in itself. What I see a problem with is the availability of polygamy for men but not for women

      I had read that some Muslims use legal polygamy to get around rules over cheating: you marry a second woman, have sex with her, and then immediately divorce her. That way, you’re only sleeping with your wife…

      Well I mean Cyprus is generally Europe though. It’s middle eastern only in the same sense that islands of Malta are North-African or Iceland is North-American, but due to history and geopolitics it’s considered European. Based on tectonic plates though all pf the above mentioned would fall to different continents
