I know, somewhere is a hole

I did what best Earth engineers couldn’t. Don’t thank me

  2. iirc about 5 years ago a hole was found with the very obvious markings of a walking drill bit next to it, as if someone had intentionally drilled it in space and struggled

  3. Russians can’t help but smoke, so they made a hole to blow the smoke out of so they don’t get caught.

All those farts have to go somewhere…it can’t take it….🙃

im sure they know why. this is always a dumb ass article that basically just makes scientists and engineers look dumb… seemingly on purpose.

Wasn’t the ISS supposed to be retired years ago? Maybe the material is just reaching end of life

They know why, somewhere a crack or a weak gasket, they do not know where!

They should cover the outside of the ISS in soap. Then find the bubbles.

    1. Spill some water

    2. Watch where it goes

    3. Put some duct tape where the water is escaping

  10. It’s not leaking. There is something else on board breathing it.

They need to go on a space walk and use a bottle of soapy water to look for the bubbles.

Looking forward to use sending people to Mars when we can’t even keep the air inside of a space station in LEO.

Now you see, they just need to cover the outside in soapy water and then seal wherever they see bubbles.

Seriously, though, there will likely be some sort of icing on the outside on the hole. Maybe they could use an IR camera to find the leak, but it is probably behind some insulation.

Have they tried putting a layer of dish soap outside the ISS and see where it bubbles

They just get like that after a while. I bought an ISS a few years back and had the same problem.

There’s some good science that would come out of studying this. Either it’ll be a dumb reason why or we could find some other mechanism for which air is “consumed” in space etc.

Have we tried putting in the water and see where it bubbles?
