    Every political decision has some sort of cause and effect. The fact that the government would bring in as many people as they did and didn’t think there would be resistance is quite telling.

    Refusing to acknowledge concerns about immigration and pretending that there are zero negative externalities to any immigration policy is also giving gasoline to the far right. It should be no surprise that Center left parties are getting devastated because of this issue in Europe and North America.

    Blaming immigrants themselves isn’t the same thing as blaming immigration policy that many would agree was far too much, far too soon.

    This sounds as deaf and disconnected as the gun buyback plan to prevent crime

    Astonishing what some are capable of to twist the facts

    Yes we do blame fraudsters and freeloaders – why shouldn’t we?

    But the blame is mainly on the ridiculously open policies in place – whatever the way some try to twist it
