  1. You go to the airport 20 minutes before boarding time? Or 20 minutes before takeoff time?

  2. no one in their right mind would go to the airport with only 20 mins to spare.

20 minutes to catch a flight? I would not even be comfortable with 1 hour and 20 minutes

  4. 40 min before planned takeoff when the travel time is longer than an hour plus transfer is cutting it kind of close. Good luck though. With boarding time and 2-3 call outs you still have a bit of wiggle room! Edit: The delay is unfortunate but still manageable, trains are not immune to unforeseen events.

I generally agree with delays like this being unacceptable (they are), but if you have a flight to catch, planning for 20+ minutes of time might not be enough. If it‘s about smth you really can‘t miss, like important appointments, yes, I‘d definitely suggest planning in a buffer time of an extra hour, if that‘s your only other option.

Never heard of anyone going to an airport less than 1h before boarding, you are brave sir

who goes to the airport with 20min spartime? thats on you for making bad choices. its not like youre meeting friends for a coffee, were being late is a viable option. what if theres a huge queue at the security line? you’d still might not make it

if youre trying to catch a flight in ZRH and you have to travel across switzerland before, then yes, you should take train delays into consideration, especially if according to you, its become a regularity.

also CH trains are one of the most on time trains on the world, i cant help but see this as just poor planning on your end and now ranting here for not making smarter choices.

  8. This might be a point, if traffic jams didn’t exist. I’ve had more 10-20 minutes delay because I got stuck in traffic than I had taking the trains.

Between Palèzieux and Zurich Airport, you have already 7 marked roadworks section. And you’re just a technical trouble by anyone using the road from stuff just not working.
