      I do think another aspect to calling an early election is to get another term before potentially Poilievre gets in.

      Trudeau despite what Ford says publicly has supported quite a few of Ford’s projects. That likely wouldn’t be the case with Poilievre, and he and Ford don’t exactly have a great relationship either.

      Okay, I’ll bite… How does a conservative use another conservative to spark fear to reelect the same conservative?

      Between ginning up culture war stuff like the anti-bike lane bill (that’s really a 413 accelerator in disguise) and the $200 ~~bribe~~ rebate cheques, there is no doubt in my mind that Ford intends to call an election sometime between February and April.

      As things stand, he’ll probably win another massive majority, too.
