    My family was affected by this, the one side that is Sami still kinda deny we are Sami. I have started learning the Sami language, but it’s hard when most still deny it and just kinda laughs at my efforts

  3. Yes, I thought the government did this long ago too, but apparently just the king? Damn, if the state has not said sorry before now. That is deeply disappointing.

    As german, who wants to become a norwegian citizen, i’m proud to read that my choosen future home recognises crimes of the past. That proves courage and responsibility. My current nation could take a big example from that regarding its former colonies and the genocides it committed.

    I’m half saami, but was never taught the language and not only that, I’m a child of divorce and ended up on the not saami side.
