10% probably is too low, but better than 30. A lot of people just won’t be able to get credit cards. Which is probably a net positive tbh.

No fucking way, Bernie’s coming to summer camp too lol

An entire country running on fumes (national debt is 36+ trillion now) and regime supporters think it’s social justice and civil rights to spend on every kind of victim.

  4. Awww man, They will get rid of rewards! How am I supposed to take my vacations on the backs of extremely indebted Americans. What a bummer.

Bernie is an actual public servant, so what you’re seeing here is a senator actually working. He’s trying to get something done for his constituents (us!) – this is how it’s supposed to work.

  6. more like “this is why they cheated on bernie and let Hilary/Biden run”

Unfortunately, it won’t happen. In Delaware and South Dakota, corporate usery is their bread and butter. I pay off mine in full every month so I effectively have a zero rate.

That’s the way Bernie! This is why I’ve always had more respect for Bernie than most other politicians.  I don’t agree with a lot of what he stands for, but he genuinely cares about his constituents.

Very respectable of Bernie to work with him on this, he actually cares about the working class not just performative bs

Exactly what the politicians are supposed to do, reach across the aisle to help Americans.

Just because you’ve been raping doesn’t mean you’re entitled to rape.

Trump is deep state. His so called “assassination attempt” was a hoax.

Better get ready for another CV19 type onslaught on your freedoms.

  13. Capping the interest rates at 10% won’t help people necessarily. The kind of people deep into credit card debts are not eligible for 10% interest credit cards so banks will just stop lending to them…

  14. Yes Trump promised credit card interest of 10% of not lower. He said they don’t even need 10%

  15. If they cap at 10% I bet most Americans won’t qualify for credit cards anymore unless the government also forces banks to extend credit for people with low credit scores.

I am hoping “credit” cards will be a thing of the past after a few years of prosperity.

I wonder how this sub would have reacted had Biden or Kamala come out with this sort of policy.

I reckon commie would have been thrown around quite a lot.

Bernie jumping ship on the democrats. It’s possible he’ll make the full merge.

Trump has literally said a bunch of Bernie things. Such as no tax on overtime and no tax on tips. Bernie would be for those things as it helps the worker. Im not surprised if bernie is excited for this.

This is the dumbest policy proposal ever. Lowering interest rates will just make it harder to get a credit card. So poor people who are responsible wont be able to get credit. Companies will simply charge higher annual fees. So stupid. Also im not sure how trump can call anyone a communist when he wants to fix interest rates.

if we dont regulate banks, fascism is almost historically going to be bad…. Once again Germany 100 years ago pre Nazification, same issues. Why, because market capitalism is like feudal capitalism. There are lord and owner class, and the working class. And 30% is the fuel the bankers and their lords ran their empires on.

We are in 21st century, america has homeless epidemic, housing crisis since 08 crash, bubbles, unregulated explotion of labour now more than ever due to gig work….

What a world this drive for profit has built…. 10% is too much anyway, 5 or 6% is reasonable. They take our money, make more money through fractional reserve banking and charge fees for then using your money, you you wanting your cash back.

Cant have it both ways. If they want to go cashless we need a tiered society with clear buerocracy. Means big functional gov and educated healthy populace…. In direct opposition to greed and sin is good wall st first america.

Bernie is an avowed socialist. The DNC didn’t do him dirty in 2015, he sold out for a 3 million dollar house. Here, he’s not trying to serve his constituents as much as he’s trying to attack capitalism. If he succeeds, unless you have A1 credit with a fairly long history, you will not be able to get a credit card in the future.
