  1. Beer tastes like shit, whats the point of drinking it if you dont get drunk?

I don’t want to hate on Holland for being sober, good for him in fact. Non-Alcoholic beer however is an over priced travesty. If it cost half the price I might consider having one occasionally, but it’s the same price. One of the newest ones I tried recently was like wheat seltzer water that my friend spit a bit of hit IPA in. I’ll have a coke or water instead if I’m not drinking before I spend 5 dollars a pint or $10 a six pack for that crap.

Celebrities have made a ton of money off of gin and tequila. I’m sure somebody approached him about making some sort of celebrity endorsed alcoholic beverage. A nonalcoholic beer will never make as much money as hard alcohol or alcoholic beer. The fact that he chose to do it anyway suggest that this really is motivated by his beliefs rather than just to get richer scheme. I think that’s commendable.

  4. I spend a lot of time in the craft beer niche, used to drink it almost exclusively. I decided for various self-growth reasons to cut my alcohol intake back and moderate it as installed other positive health changes. Anyhow, I still enjoy the taste of beer quite a bit and never really drank for the buzz anyhow. Probably haven’t been over two beers in a session in the last decade.

So I wanted to dabble in and find some alternatives. Hop waters didn’t really interest me after trying them and non-alcoholic beers had such a bad rap. But I tried some of the products from Athletic Brewing Co. and the Golden Ale especially is pretty good. Trail Pass from Sierra Nevada is also quite good. It definitely tastes like an IPA.

Yeah, the non-alcs are different and you won’t mistake them for having alcohol. But they’re better than soda.

It’s also been nice that so many tiki bars have robust NA menus, because that’s really the only other type of drinking I like to do these days.

  5. No. No. No. it’s a fucking gateway product. No respect for those trying to stay sober. Just no.
