I am somewhat certain the Ukrainian drone operators will be indifferent to the lack of quality control of orcish ground targets.

After all, it’s a somewhat bold assumption of the Russian soldier that these vehicles will be around long enough to experience serious corrosion issues or increased wear & tear from their faulty production…

sending people who can’t weld, to weld, is a russian war tradition

  4. Designing armoured vehicles as a „one way ticket“ with thin hull and bad armour is a very long tradition of the orcs.

It’s almost as if they’d sent all their factory workers to reclaim Kursk

Seeing as it will be a pile of burning wreckage sprinkled with barbecuing body parts pretty soon the quality of the welding should be least of your worries.

Are they saying that “Raisa the riveter” is doing a crap job? Maybe she just knows that van is on a one-way trip.

  10. It only needs to last 15 minutes, I don’t know what he’s complaining about.

You gotta look at it through the eyes of the Russian welder. Go chug some vodka until your BAC is .25 or higher and then they’ll suddenly look perfect.

I have some experience with these vehicles. The bad welding, huge gaps, leakages, spots where rain water can come inside, rust etc. are common with Bukhankas and nothing new. The quality was always bad. In Germany we did a complete overhaul with new Bukhankas to solve the major issues before they were send to the customer. But I bet because of the sanctions the quality is getting even worse. We always said: “A Bukhanka is never repaired. There is always work to be done.” Russian quality. Even the old models from Soviet times were better in quality.

What do you expect, when so many of the skilled workers are already pushing up daisies in Ukrainian soil.

15k is nothing for a vehicle these days, that’s about what you get for that sort of money, not to mention they’re considered disposable assets anyway, like a 1 or 2 time use tops

That car was assembled with sheet metal from washing machines that they stole from the Ukrainians!

  16. As a child, (so, 30+ years ago) I was convinced that the Buhanka was manufactured by the same company as the Trabant

1.5 million or 5 million have the same chance to survive an FPV, why bother to put more money into them? They might as well continue using carts and motorbikes.
