They need to be extremely careful here not to avoid another 2006.
It’s actually pretty impressive to see the tunnel system and how much crap is under there. We all knew Japan, Korea, and Vietnamese had excellent tunnel systems, but the media and availability of cameras wasn’t that great to show it off almost in real time. Pretty gnarly.
Soldiers are often trained to refer to their enemies as “terrorists” as a psychological tactic to dehumanize and create a clear distinction between friend and foe. This labeling process, known as “othering,” enables soldiers to overcome moral inhibitions and engage in combat more effectively. However, this practice has profoundly damaging consequences for humanity. By reducing complex conflicts to simplistic “good vs. evil” narratives, it perpetuates harmful stereotypes, fuels xenophobia, and obscures the underlying causes of violence. This rhetoric also:
– Erases the enemy’s humanity, making it easier to justify harm and ignore civilian casualties
– Fosters an “us vs. them” mentality, exacerbating divisions and hindering reconciliation
– Oversimplifies nuanced conflicts, neglecting political, economic, and social context
– Legitimizes excessive force and human rights abuses
– Perpetuates cycles of violence, as enemies become more entrenched in their positions
This damaging discourse has far-reaching consequences, including:
– Increased Islamophobia and anti-Muslim sentiment
– Escalating violence and militarism
– Decreased empathy and understanding
– Obstacles to peaceful conflict resolution
By recognizing and challenging this harmful rhetoric, we can work towards more inclusive, nuanced, and peaceful approaches to conflict resolution, ultimately promoting greater understanding and humanity.
Man that looks like it fucking sucks. Ends up with a couple of killed Hezbollah traded for a couple of wounded IDF.
And for what? These people are dying so that they can reserve the right to shoot rockets at Israel and kill Jews. What a fucked up view of the world they just have to be able to motivate yourself to fight for that
this is intense CQB. It did seems this unit is somewhat less experienced and more chaotic than other units that we have seen recently. But nevertheless hats off to these men doing an extremely dangerous job
Seems to be very low amount of Hezbollah fighters in this pretty well stocked up tunnel. Where’s all the resistance given the 20 years of entrenchment and endless IRGC money as it’s crown Jewel?
It’s IOF: Israeli Occupation Force
I fell like the IDF read the post that said the videos are boring and released this one haha
Obviously no genocide occurring in gaza? They were brought to the ICJ with the case and the judges have stated their is plausible cause for the case? Yeah there’s a difference between accusations versus what’s currently going on. The judges did not throw the case out. Very much different than “no genocide occuring”
