  1. Biased article didn’t put what Netanyahu said after, totally roasted Macron.

Macron doesn’t know much history, does it? Israel would be created by UN decision if Palestinian Arabs accepted the UN plan. They didn’t. Instead, civil war erupted and Britain said “fick it, I am going home”. Then Israel declared independence and fought several wars for it.

    > By: NEWS WIRES. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should not forget his country was created as a result of a resolution adopted by the United Nations, French President Emmanuel Macron told cabinet on Tuesday, urging Israel to abide by UN decisions.

    > Tensions have increased between Netanyahu and Macron with the French leader last week insisting that stopping the export of weapons used by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon was the only way to stop the conflicts.

    > "Mr Netanyahu must not forget that his country was created by a decision of the UN," Macron told the weekly French cabinet meeting, referring to the resolution adopted in November 1947 by the United Nations General Assembly on the plan to partition Palestine into a Jewish state and an Arab state.

  4. Was it UN that defended Israel when 7 Arab countries attacked it on the day it was “created by UN decision”?

    What a clown

  5. southpolefiesta on

    It was not.

UN proposal was never accepter or approved.

    Israel is self created.

And France mustn’t forget it’s not a German province because of Russia. Should they defer to Putin in all things because of that?

  7. SlightAppearance3337 on

And then the UN sent peacekeepers to defend said UN decision which was respected by Arab nations, right?

Isn’t he married to his former teacher?

    He must have flunked history.

  9. Macron being deliberately arrogant and inflammatory with false history

Jokes aside, they never abided by The UN’s declarations of anything

France must have forgotten its history when they tried to stop Jews from living in its ancestral lands in the 1800s and inflamed Jew hatred as a way to limit British influence in the region and control of resources. But go off macron

  12. So… does that make France the 51st State of the U.S.A.?

Venture capitalists out there, here is a free idea: Print Macron’s face on the bottom side of a toilette lid.

And what *delightful* consequences we have gotten from it too.

    That’s absolute nonsense!

Israel fought a war for independence while the UN did everything they could to thwart Israel’s effort in that war. Western countries refused to help, sell weapons, and some even literally fought against Israeli forces in the war.

The idea that Israel owes anybody ANYTHING is completely ahistorical. It’s paramount to suggesting that black Americans should be thankful to white people for freeing them. The very notion of that is reprehensible, just as Macrons statement is.

  15. Well gawd dam!

I do think that while we’re acknowledging that fact then we must also acknowledge the fact that the UN was not fair in how they gave them that land. Their actions caused the current inevitability to occur in the first place.

The only reason why the UN handed that land to them was because of the lack of organized government. Thats it. If the Palestinians had what modern world at the time deemed a functional government, boy oh boy would this be real different.

    *We beat Israel 4-1*

Now this comment, ice cold Macron.

  17. skeleton949 on

Israel was created by the people in the area, not by the useless UN.

  18. Israel absolutely wasn’t created by a UN decision. The UNGA voted in favor of partition, true, but UNGA votes don’t worth the paper they are written on. It was a recommendation for action by the security council, which never carried it out.

Israel had zero help from the UN during the Independence War.

And the comeback? Well, if your country didn’t actively assist in the Holocaust, maybe we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

  20. crocodilesareforwimp on

So is Macron suddenly talking about Israel all the time now to distract people from his failing presidency and idiotic political maneuvering or what?

  21. LordFUHard on

    Israelis are like the replicants.

Ooh..is that bad thing to say?

They did get memories inserted into them though, like they were chosen by god or some shit like that.
