are they just asking for skynet to call judgement day? Give Ai access to everything and they think nothing bad happens… yeah ok. Even the make believe land of scfi knows you dont fuck with AI.

i can see using unmanned craft if your short on men.

You only have to look at the mining industry in Western Australia. They’ve been running autonomous haul truck systems for a few years now, controlled from a thousand miles away in Perth.

Within the next five year’s, most of the haul trucks in the Pilbara will be autonomous.

Explosive autonomous drilling rigs are getting more common and they’re rolling out autonomous trains too.

It keeps operators safe and improves efficiency. Unfortunately, in this case, efficiency is killing people which is sad.

  3. This is why I don’t believe there’s really a recruiting crisis. Eventually most soldiers would be replaced by robots. I’ve seen what parkour robot can do.

I kinda wanna see what parkour copter can do.

I’m a civilian helicopter pilot. I’m gonna be so fucked when this bleeds into the industry.

This was 90% the plot of an episode of GitS: Stand Alone Complex, and it did not end well

Can’t get robotaxies to operate safely, but sure, lets make a self-driving helicopter…

If only there was some kind of centralized Internet in the sky that could control all our weapons for us. A sort of NetSky or something.
