      Expelled for telling the truth.

      Let that sink in.

The terror supporters are allergic to the truth, because with it, their entire “argument” falls apart.

What an odd thing to kick someone out of a party for.

      > “Genocide is a very serious word,” he added. “To just mix up the words genocide and war is not accurate.”

This has become very annoying, baby with the bathwater type stuff.

I think it’s interesting that the SNP allows no divergence on this particular topic.
As far as I can tell, this means that you can have whatever views you like on all but two topics and still represent the SNP; independence and Gaza. And that’s a really weird pair, isn’t it?

For instance, they like to paint themselves as a progressive party, but have no issue with their Deputy Leader being a fundamentalist Christian who is anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage. The SNP have always been pretty good at managing the broad church of politicians that they have (though perhaps less so since Sturgeon stood down), by focusing on independence as the one common factor.

I can sort of understand independence, even though it’s a terrible idea. It’s at least the official reason for the SNP existing in the first place (though I would argue that doing what is in the interest of Scotland ought to be the actual primary purpose of the party, which independence is decidedly not). But as an MSP, Mason had no authority or role related to foreign policy – so his views are entirely irrelevant to his job, surely?

Genocide has a very specific definition and Israel’s actions in Gaza don’t meet it. You could call it mass murder if you like, but calling it genocide is hyperbole that cheapens the word when applied to actual genocides.
The SNP thought police need to be educated on this it seems.

The genocide is against Israel ffs! The SNP really are Scotland’s shame.

    6. He deserves to be kicked out just for being pedantic. Who is he to “define” the word? Just say you don’t think genocide is happening and say you will wait for judgment from UK court or ICJ. No one is asking MPs or MSPs to vote on this matter anyways

People do realise that people working* with the UN have come out and said there are reasonable grounds to call what’s happening in Palestine a genocide right? Like it’s not just come out of nowhere. It’s certainly a possible position to hold. The UN have put articles on their website essentially saying this.

It’s kinda shocking reading how far in denial a lot of the comments in this thread are and doesn’t seem to match up with what anyone I know in real life thinks about this, and I live in conservative heartland country.

It’s always the political parties you least expect that misrepresent the truth and persecute people for saying it publicly.
