It is a shame that Elon Musk does not do more to stop the Russians accessing Starlink. I would have assumed that there would be someway that they could block the use of any Starlink device being used in Russian controlled areas…

BOYCOT MUSK, TESLA, X and all his other CRAP.

Run those companies to the ground !

  3. Do they even want to stop them? It’s not clear that’s the best course of action.

Starlink knows the location of any active terminals. Should just have the DoD inform Ukraine of their locations so that the terminals can be deactivated properly.

Anyway, both Militarnyi and the Washington Post say that SpaceX is still working with the DoD to deal with this problem.

How can one person be so stupid. Doesn’t he know that if Ukraine looses than his technology will be used against him and the free world. It’s almoast as if the world is done with freedom and wants to be enslaved by Dictatorship governments with no regard for anyone but themselves. If we can’t use it than we must destroy it.

    Victory to Ukraine.

  5. Technical points to consider:

    1. If Starlink is region-locked only to be enabled on the Ukrainian side, any Ukrainian drones using Starlink cannot operate when attacking Russia.

    2. Creating a Ukrainian white list of Starlink terminals is difficult due to civilian donations.

    3. Once the DOD, SpaceX, or Ukrainian intelligence actually identify a Starlink terminal used by the Russian military, it should be determined whether it would be more beneficial to the war effort to disable it or to use it to collect intelligence.
